The traveling agency Abreu proposes two alternative touristic tours for the day after the conference, Saturday 18th September.

Full Day Tour Setúbal, Palmela and Azeitão

08h45 - Departure from the congress center heading South of Lisbon crossing the Bridge 25th April over the River Tagus to Setúbal, one of the most important fish-caning centres along the Sado River. A town with great traditions originating from the Celtic Cetobriga it housed the Roman settlers who held in Setúbal fish-salting tanks, and in the Peninsula of Troia there are many remains of a Roman spa, a temple and a cemetery. Next there will be a visit to the Medieval Castle and Convent of Palmela conquered to the Arabs in 1148, being later the seat of the Knights of Sant'Iago (St.James). The beautiful view in all directions can be admired from the ramparts of the Castle.
Proceeding to Azeitão. This region is famous for a small creamy lamb's cheese and for the excellence of its wines.
Visit to a factory of decorative tiles, São Simão Arte, located in Azeitão, clients will have the opportunity to observe all the process of
manufacturing traditional Portuguese Tiles.
Lunch at Quinta de Catralvos, located at the foot of the Arrábida hills within 25 hectares of
vineyards. It is an example of a perfectly balanced development, one set up from scratch that encompasses the production of
award winning wines, a gourmet restaurant offering sophisticated cuisine and a modern, fully equipped area. After lunch return to Lisbon.

Cruse on Tagus River

15h45 - Departure from the Doca de Alcantara, mainly used for cocktail cruises, the boat is moored at the Alcantara docks, close to Lisbon’s nightlife main attractions.
Opportunity to enjoy the magnificent highlights of Lisbon from the Tagus river, such as the Belem district, downtown and the Nations Park (former expo 98).

Price per person: € 25,00
Includes: Orange juice, mineral waters, soft drinks, coffee, Sandwiches and Petit-Fours.
